The Stars Around — Our Story

I've been fascinated by the night sky for as long as I can remember. There's something unreal about looking up and knowing those stars have been there for centuries — that even within our entire lifespan, we only catch a glimpse of their story. It makes me dream. And there's one thought that always stays with me: no matter where you are, no matter how far apart, you're looking at the same sun and the same moon as the people you love. That idea never stops feeling warm.

Stargazing through a telescope on a clear night

That's how The Stars Around started. I wanted to capture that feeling — a specific night, a specific place, the exact sky overhead — and turn it into something you could hold in your hands and hang on a wall. Not decorative clip art, but the real sky. I spend my nights photographing deep space objects through my telescope — galaxies, nebulae, star clusters — so when I say I know the sky, I mean it. Every star map uses professional astronomical catalogs to calculate the exact position of every star, constellation, and planet as they appeared from your location on your chosen night. Then the data is verified by hand before anything goes to print.

This is a family operation. I oversee the star maps — the accuracy, the rendering, the quality. My wife Olga runs everything else — customer care, order fulfillment, making sure your poster arrives in perfect condition. No corporate call center, no automated assembly line — just real people who care about getting it right. When you email us, you're talking to one of us. When you order a poster, we make sure it's made right.

Every poster that leaves our hands carries a night that mattered to someone. A wedding, a birth, a first date, a birthday, a moment worth remembering. I take that seriously. If the sky meant something to you, I'll make sure it's captured exactly as it was.
